Obsession → Preparation → Suffering → Awe → Meaning
Every adventure we take follows the same rhythm: Obsession → Preparation → Suffering to The Moment. The moment where the world goes still, the noise fades, and the only thing left is awe. It’s in that quiet that we feel closest to God, and closest to why we roam in the first place.
Who We Are
I’m Emma — the voice behind Theory of Roaming. What started as a travel blog became something much deeper.
Through diving into open ocean darkness, climbing into thin air, and doing hard things alongside my husband, I began to notice a pattern.
Adventure strips everything down. It reveals who we are. And more often than not, it draws us closer to God.
This space is where travel, challenge, faith, and meaning collide.

Every pin marks a story — where we’ve been, what we learned, and where we’re headed next.

Why Theory of Roaming?
At first, this blog was about travel — destinations, tips, beautiful photos. But somewhere along the way, something shifted.
The real transformation wasn’t in the places. It was in the suffering. The climbs that burned. The cold nights. The moments when I felt small and had no choice but to surrender.
That’s where faith deepened. That’s where meaning formed.
The Theory of Roaming isn’t about chasing countries. It’s about chasing the kind of life that stretches you — physically, spiritually, completely.
If you love God but also crave the wild, the hard, and the more — you’re in the right place.
